Reflections offer a view into an unreachable world. A mirror image of this reality, they are momentarily glimpsed as sunlight strikes wet sand, as a cloud scuds above a still pond, as your own face follows you along glass-fronted city streets.
Reflections are ephemeral. They shift and change as your eyes move and light fades. And they point to a deeper reality, that everything around you that appears so solid is transitory and in flux. Reflections are a visual reminder of impermanance.
Can you climb the reflected cliff face in your imagination? What lies unseen beyond the alluring solidity of the everyday? Step through the looking glass.

I remember a moment maybe forty years ago seeing a reflection in a puddle on a blacktop driveway and thinking OH! so that's what it's about. "It" was not the thing reflected (trees) but the realization that there's another world beside the one we live in.
Great reflection, Dru! I love the idea of using our Imagination to lean deeper into the impermanent nature of reflections to see differently the world we think is so solid. 🌌
