Map apps are modern miracles. My phone can show me where I am, help me find where I want to go, and plot the best routes in between. Whether I want pictures, opening times, recommendations or reviews, everything is a few taps away.
But Google can't tell me what somewhere means to me. Making a map can remind me where I met someone, sat on a fallen tree, or stared at the sunset. Hand made maps offer unique perspectives on personal experiences.
This week, make a map of a place you love. I collaged this map of queer Blackpool, encoding my history of love and connection with found quotes cut from magazines. It's useless for navigation, but it shows me the way to my heart.

Love this
Oh, I love this idea! It's on my list to do it soon!
