A great reminder to consider what is the right path for each of us in every sense. 🙏

Having spent several days driving through Galicia, last year, and then spending a few days with a friend in Pontevedra, I feel the call to go back as soon as possible. Such a magical coastline. I may not have a trek like this in me, but I can immerse in the landscape.

The wonderful thing about the Camiño dos Faros is that so much of it is accessible by car, if you don't want to do the whole hike. And do check out the lighthouses. Cabo Vilán is absolutely spectacular, with the light perched on 100m high cliffs like something from a fairytale. It's worth a visit in its own right.

It's such a pleasure to read your posts, I was lucky to spend time in Galicia in my 20s & was absolutely entranced by the place..such a beautiful landscape & seeing how people live in the villages felt like stepping back in time to how our past was here too, reading this is taking me back there :-)

Sadly, so many of Galicia's villages inland are empty now as populations have moved to the big cities in search of work. But it remains an astonishingly beautiful place, and I hope to return one day soon.

That is a shame, maybe people will return sometime like they are to other abandoned villages in Europe & breathe new life into them
